Second winner 🥈 🥈

When we moved home, I have moved Chhori’s childcare as well.

One of the things she has learned in this new center is second winner. I am still not sure I agree or not but it seems to help Chhori understand second is ok sometimes.

Me: “Hurry up and finish brushing the teeth otherwise papa will be first and you will be last.”

Chhori: “NO mama, I will be first winner and Papa will be second winner. It is ok to be second winner sometimes.

AS seems to think that it is good to learn things like this so they accept not being first but I think I want her to understand the different between first and last, not everyone can and need to be a winner.

Do share your thought about it.

Rainbow colour🌈🌈🌈

Chhori is 3.5 years old now and she is getting so smart day by day. The other day, AS wanted her to wear a twinkle toes shoes which was purple in colour but lights up in different colours.

So the father daughter had the following conversation

Chhori : “Papa I want a rainbow shoes please.”

AS: “Put on these shoes (pointing to the purple shoe), it has rainbow lights, red, blue, pink, white and black.

Chhori: “No papa, that’s is not a rainbow” and started singing the song.

Red and yellow and pink and green, Purple and orange and blue

I can sing a rainbow, Sing a rainbow, Sing a rainbow too

That is rainbow papa, not white and black and other colours.”

AS: “Ohoo Sorry, I meant colourful shoes.”

Now who can argue with her as she is telling the facts?

I love to eavesdrop into father daughter conversation, it always manages to make me smile.

Take care everyone,

Ask google :)

I am sure, I can write a book full of conversation we have with Chhori these days. She is very observant and a quick thinker that it is easy to forget that she is only 3.5 years old.

One thing we seems to lose a lot in our household is the TV remote. I am constantly looking for it.

Me: “AS, have you seen the TV remote.

AS: “Check on the table, I saw it there last.

Me: “No, I looked everywhere, can’t see it.”

I saw Chhori walking to the room so,

Me: “Chhori, have you seen the TV remote.”

Chhori; “No mama but you can ask Google.

Me and AS started laughing because we never have thought that would be the answer 🙂.

The kids these days have no idea what life was like without technology. I constantly find her talking to Google Home asking to play song, turn on/off the light or turn on/off the TV. She thinks every screen on phone and laptop is touch screen and Google has been a part of our everyday life as we use it so often. No wonder she thinks I can ask Google to find the remote too 🙂.

Please do share your own experience.

My little Ballerina 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

We have enrolled Chhori into Ballet class and she is over the moon.

She is a big fan of Emma wiggle and Angelina ballerina so when we bought her the ballet costume and shoes, she was so happy that she was dancing all day.

She loves to show her ballet dance (which she is yet to master) to everyone who come and visit us. She even tries to teach me the steps and she says that she is a teacher and I am her student  🙂

I know I am biased but she looks super cute in her Ballerina outfit.

Have a great week everyone.

I want Pink room

First of all I am very sorry that I have been MIA for a while. Thank you so much everyone who DM me on Instagram and twitter and emailed to check if everything is OK.

Yes, everything is ok. It is just that we bought a new house and the packing, moving and unpacking has been taking up all my spare time and I didn’t have much time to update the blog.

I promise to be more regular now.

When we moved 5 years ago, it was a breeze as we moved from a one bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom one. But this move was crazy and massive.

I don’t know how and when we collected so much stuff. It took almost a month to do all the packing, a whole day to move with the help of friends and family and I am still unpacking.

One of my missions while unpacking is to declutter so we have less stuff. Seriously, sometimes I wonder why we collect so much stuff.

With Chhori, we have so much toys and clothes and shoes, I couldn’t believe it when I was packing. Kids these days are definitely spoiled compared to what I grew up with.

So we unpacked the essentials first, which means Chhori’s room decoration wasn’t done straight after moving. Decoration was not even on my mind when Chhori came to me and had the following conversation.

Chhori : “I want my old room back.”

Me: “What do you mean?”

Chhori: “I like my old room in old house.”

Me: “This is your room now and you have the same stuff from your old room.”

Chhori : “But it is not pink.”

Then I realised that, I haven’t used her normal linen and curations and decorations to make the room pink.

Me: “Ok, this weekend I will make your room pink.”

Chhori : “I love you Mama.”

I am glad at least it is easy to make her happy  🙂

Have a great week everyone.

Take care everyone,
