You look like a banana 🍌 mama

While celebrating the Nepali new Year, I was dressed in traditional yellow kurta.

As I came out of my room I had this conversation with Chhori

Chhori : β€œYou look like a banana 🍌 mama”

Me: (not trying to laugh) β€œI am so hurt”Β (making a sad face)

Chhori: β€œI am sorry mama. I look like broccoli πŸ₯¦ (looking at her green kurta)”

Me: (laughing) β€œI love broccoli πŸ₯¦

Chhori: β€œand I love banana 🍌 and I love you mama”

She definitely has become quite cheeky and witty. I love our conversations and I love her so much. I want her to remain like this forever.

Take care ,

Take your yogurt mama

I don’t how kids these are so smart and clever.

Chhori surprises us every day with her smart brain and the way she communicates with us.

We kind of have an order as to how we say good bye before I leave for work. First it is a hug πŸ€— then a kiss 😘 and finally a hi-five πŸ‘‹.Then the following dialogues occur.

Chhori: β€œHave a good day mama”

Me: β€œHave a good day baby.”

This happens every single day. But the other day chhori added, β€œ and don’t forget your yogurt Mama.”

I normally take yogurt for lunch and lucky for me that day, I actually had forgotten it. I don’t know how she knew but she has a good eye on what’s happening around her.

Love her to the moon and back.

Take care and happy Friday.

Enjoying hot pot

Since we had Chhori, we go out only to the restaurants where there is food that Chhori enjoys.

It is because we want Chhori to enjoy the experience and we all want to have fun as a family.

So we haven’t gone for a Hot Pot for a while and were so excited when one of our friends invited us for a Hot Pot dinner at her place.

She is from Thailand and they do amazing hotpot. The good thing is that they love Nepali momo. So we always make momo when they come over and they treat us with hot pot.

When we arrived for dinner, the table was already set with amazing food like fish ball, pork slices, lamb slices, mushroom, green veggies and a variety of sauces.

We really enjoyed the whole experience and the hotpot was delicious.

Chhori enjoyed the food and the company of our friend’s son.

I am glad to have people around us who are a great company and treat us with amazing food.

Do you like hotpot? Do you make them at home?

Take care and happy Friday.

I am big strong girl

Chhori is at this stage now that she doesn’t like to be called β€œBaby”. She is always going to be my baby but at 3 she thinks she is a big girl and gets annoyed if anyone calls her β€œBaby”.

Recently she moved from 2-3 years room to 3-4 years room in her childcare so she calls all her friends in 2-3 years room babies.

We know about it so we try not to call her a baby in front of her. But sometimes, AS and I will have a conversation and suddenly we hear Chhori saying, β€œI am not a baby, I am big strong girl.”

Then we realised that we had called her a baby in our conversation unconsciously and she has picked up on it.

She also got upset with my SIL when she called her my β€œbaby doll” and with my nephew when he said, β€œYou are a baby so you can’t play this game.”

I hope this is just a phase and she will outgrow it otherwise we will be hearing β€œI am not a baby, I am big strong girl.” for a while.

Please do share your experience and please tell me this is normal phase of child growing up.

Take care.
