Itโs amazing how big Halloween has become here in Australia lately โ and Iโm absolutely loving it! This year was extra special because the kids had a Halloween disco at school, so they were dressed up from the morning. My daughter went as a cute little Minion, my son was a scary skeleton, and I joined in the fun with a red dress for my devil look ๐.
Weโve been having the best time walking around the neighbourhood, collecting chocolates, and soaking up all the spooky vibes.
Itโs such a joy to see the kidsโ excitement, the laughter, and all the creative costumes around. Honestly, I think Iโm enjoying it as much as they are (maybe even more ๐).
One of the joys of being on holiday is waking up and heading to a buffet breakfast โ itโs like a little celebration to start the day. During our recent stay at DoubleTree by Hilton, we indulged in their breakfast buffet, which, although smaller compared to some other places weโve stayed, still offered a delightful variety to satisfy everyone in the family.
The kids were thrilled with their favourites โ cereals, crispy bacon, sausages, hash browns, and pastries. Watching them excitedly pick out their plates and enjoy their meal made me so happy. For me, a good breakfast sets the tone for the day, and this one didnโt disappoint. It even felt a bit luxurious, with freshly prepared eggs available to order. Though it took a little while to get the eggs just right, the staff were friendly and eager to help, which made the experience pleasant overall.
Every morning, we looked forward to this routine โ sipping coffee while the kids explored the options, from sweet pastries to warm savoury bites. It became a little family tradition during our stay, and I loved seeing the kids embrace it. Traveling isnโt just about the big moments; itโs these little ones that make it special.
Coming back home to โnormalโ breakfasts was definitely an adjustment. After all, how do you go from a variety-filled buffet to a quick piece of toast? These moments make me appreciate the joy of travel even more โ from exploring new places to enjoying the simple pleasure of breakfast together.
If youโre staying at a DoubleTree, definitely give their breakfast a try. Itโs not just a meal; itโs a great way to start your holiday mornings on a positive note.
