Celebrating 13 years of togetherness

I can’t believe it has already been 13 years since we got married! It feels like just yesterday. Please read Our Story to learn more about us.

When I first met him in high school, I never imagined that one day he would be my husband and the wonderful father to our amazing daughter.

If you have been following my blog, you know that AS and I are different in so many ways. We are complete opposites; we see things differently, do things differently, and think differently. There are times when he drives me crazy and vice versa, but when we come together, something just clicks. We make each other laugh, and we both know how to bring out the best in each other.

To my dear husband,

Thirteen years ago today, we became husband and wife. We didn’t know where we were heading back then, but we knew for sure that we belonged together. And now, over a decade later, I can say with absolute certainty that the past thirteen years have been the most magical of my entire life.

They say that life is beautiful when you are surrounded by amazing people. I couldn’t agree more, because I have been lucky enough to have a wonderful man by my side on this incredible journey.

So today, I’d like to say a massive thank you for being an amazing, wonderful, handsome, and all-around awesome husband. You make my life so much better. You support me, make me laugh, make me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world, and make me believe in myself. Together, I know we can get through anything!

Our lives have changed so much now that we are parents, but every day has been an adventure that I wouldn’t trade for the world. You are a great friend, husband, and my rock.

I love watching you play with our kids so patiently. I love it when you tell them stories and put them to bed. You are everything I could wish for in my life.

Thank you for believing in me and for helping me believe in myself. You are a phenomenal dad and an even better husband. I am looking forward to so many more anniversaries with you.

All the words in the world couldn’t even begin to describe how deeply I am in love with you. You are not only my love, but my soul. I love you more than words can say.

I am glad we have made it this far, and I am sure we will go even further as we continue this journey we started together years ago. Happy 13th Anniversary!

With lots of love ❤️,

M

Chhori said :Passing on the Donut

So, lately, Chhori’s been tagging along on my Sunday walks which we usually go with one of my friends and her daughter. We start off together, but after about 45 minutes, we drop the kids off at home and continue on to finish our 10-kilometer run while the kids have breakfast.

Last week, when we got back, I asked Chhori what she had for breakfast at my friend’s place, and she said she had some bread and eggs. But then, she dropped a surprise – my friend’s daughter had offered her a donut, and she turned it down!

I was stunned and had to ask why, because, let me tell you, this girl loves her donuts. Her response? “Well, didn’t you tell me to eat less junk food? So, I figured it was too early to indulge on the doughnuts.”
I couldn’t believe my ears! I’ve been preaching the gospel of healthy eating and cutting down on junk food to both my kids, but I never realised it was sinking in this well.

I’m beyond proud of Chhori’s decision, and I hope this sets the tone for her making healthy choices for the rest of her life. Proud mum moment, indeed!

The Famous Bali Swings

When we decided to jet off to Bali, the Bali Swing was at the top of my must-try list! And boy, it did not disappoint. Here’s the lowdown on this epic adventure:

Types of Swings: Bali swings come in all shapes and sizes! From traditional swings to single, tandem, and even extreme swings that soar high above canyons and gorges. There’s something for every thrill-seeker’s preference and comfort level.

Best Locations: You can find these incredible swings all over Bali, but the hotspots are definitely in Ubud, Tegalalang, and the surrounding areas. Many resorts and adventure parks include swings as part of their attractions, making it easy to add this experience to your itinerary.

Our Swing Adventure: Our tour guide took us to a fantastic spot where we paid 25k IDR for the swing and a dress rental. Yes, you heard right – you can choose a dress! I went with a vibrant red one, my favourite colour, and it looked amazing in the photos. We had a short wait for our turn, which just built up the excitement. When it was finally our turn, they gave us a push, and off we went, soaring through the air. It was exhilarating! And the photo ops? Simply out of this world. AS snapped tons of pictures, and the kind lady from the venue took even more. I absolutely loved all the photos from that day – definitely Instagram-worthy!

Photography Tips: If you’re into photography, Bali swings are a dream come true. Many operators offer professional photography services for an additional fee, so you can capture every moment perfectly. Just make sure your camera or smartphone is secure before you start swinging. And don’t forget to check out the nests in the area – they make for some fantastic shots too!

Have you been to Bali and tried the swings? I’d love to hear about your experience! Share your stories and let’s relive the adventure together!

Plane Spotting at the Beach ✈️

After our brunch at Muglan, we decided to take the kids to watch the planes take off and land at The Grand Parade in Brighton-Le-Sands. We used to live around this area, and it has always been one of my favourite activities.

Located just south of Sydney Airport, Brighton-Le-Sands Beach is part of Lady Robinsons Beach and is the perfect destination for anyone looking for a sunny reprieve with beautiful views. At the end of the beach, you are so close to Sydney International Airport that you can see the planes land and take off up close.
I’ve always loved this spot. You can get some amazing landing photos of planes, and the area is surrounded by a beautiful beach. Parking here is easy, and the walk to the plane spotting spot is straightforward. The beach is lively, filled with people fishing, and the nearby rock pools are great to explore and spot wildlife such as crabs, fish, and seagulls.

We walked along the rocks and found a perfect spot where we could see the planes take off and land. We saw some big aircraft, and the kids got incredibly excited.

We spent some time just waiting for the next plane and then the next. The thrill of watching each plane ascend and descend was exhilarating for the kids and nostalgic for us.

It was a beautiful sunny day with a clear blue sky, making it the perfect time to spend with the kids. The weather was ideal for plane spotting, and the joy on the kids’ faces was priceless. The sound of the waves crashing and the sight of the planes soaring made it a memorable experience.

On the way back to the car park, we stopped at the kids’ playground where the kids had a blast while we took a moment to rest. The playground was well-equipped and safe, providing a fun diversion for the little ones. It was a really nice family time together.

Have you ever been to Brighton-Le-Sands for plane spotting? Share your experience!

Have a nice weekend !!!
