First of all, big congratulation to all the Germany supporters, yes your team won 2014 World Cup 2014.
However, I am still supporting Argentina for their great effort.
It was such a great game with many nail biting moments. The first goal (seemingly) scored by Argentina made me really happy even if it was just for few seconds when I didn’t realise that it was off side. But then it was back to reality.
Both the team played so well but I could see that Germany’s team was doing better with more possession of the ball. It was tense, entertaining and both teams pushed hard, but Germany were super organised and did not give their opponents an inch.
I was hoping when there were no goals for 90 minutes that it would be a game of penalty shootouts until Mario Goetze scored the winning goal at 113th minutes and all the hope for Argentina was over. I was definitely heartbroken and it was so sad to see so many Argentina’s supporters crying in the stadium.
Big congratulation to German goalkeeper Manuel Neuerf for the golden glove and Lionel Messi for the World Cup’s best player trophy.
No more soccer for me for another four year. I hope you had as much fun as I did during the whole tournament.
Take care,

XOXO
Germany was the best team, but I still wanted Argentina to win!
I know Germany played as a team and they played well 🙂
Whooooohoooo!! Germany is just one big party at the moment! Everybody is so happy here including me!! Although I felt a little sorry for Messi, he was really down.
I m proud of our Team!!!!
I was very happy with the outcome. At the last minute before the start of the game I called up a local pub and reserved the last table in the house. It was great fun to watch the game with so many supporters for both sides.
I didn’t watch the games, but most of the time, my hubby was up in the middle of the night to watch. Growing up in Paraguay, he is a big fan as you can imagine. Since Paraguay (mush to his dismay!) didn’t go this time, he was hoping for a win from Argentina too (he lived there for a number of years), but was happy with the German victory as, like you said, he said they played well. Plus, I’m part German (like many Americans) so I was happy to hear they won. (Yes, he did wake me up to tell me, but I fell right back asleep!) Have a nice week!
Me and hubby woke up early to watch the game but was very sad to see Argentina lose.Anyway was a great game. At least one of you are happy in your household 🙂
