Merry Christmas 2024 🎄🎅🎁

From our family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas! May your holiday season be filled with love, laughter, and precious memories to cherish forever.🎄🎅🎁❤️

The magic of Christmas is in the air, and our neighbourhood is glowing with festive cheer! This year, the streets have come alive with twinkling lights, creative displays, and a heartwarming sense of community.

As we strolled through the neighbourhood, we were amazed by the effort and creativity everyone has put into their decorations. Houses are adorned with shimmering fairy lights, glowing reindeer, and Santa climbing chimneys. Some homes even have entire light shows synchronized to music, creating a magical experience for all who pass by.

One of my favourite displays features a life-sized nativity scene surrounded by sparkling lights, reminding us of the true spirit of Christmas. Another standout is a house with a candy-cane theme, complete with a giant inflatable snowman waving to everyone who stops to admire the view.

It’s heartwarming to see families, kids, and even pets walking around, soaking in the festive atmosphere. The lights not only brighten up the streets but also bring people together, spreading joy and laughter.

Tao Restaurant and Bar, Sydney : Review

Just had an incredible dining experience at Tao Restaurant and Bar in the city! From start to finish, everything was top-notch, and I can’t wait to share the details.

The ambiance at Tao was perfect for our get-together. We were lucky to snag a spacious corner table for our party of eight, which made for a fantastic evening. As we settled in, we began with a round of cocktails and wines that set the tone for a great night ahead.

Our appetizers were nothing short of exceptional. We kicked things off with Shepherd’s Purse Wonton, paired with Red Chilli Oil and Sesame Paste—so flavourful! The Chicken San Choy Bao was a delightful bite, and the Salt and Pepper Tofu was crispy and perfectly seasoned. The Typhoon Shelter Style Eggplant with Garlic & Chilli was a standout, offering a deliciously spicy kick.

For the mains, we were in for a treat. We enjoyed the Braised Eggplant with Chicken Mince and Szechuan Chilli Paste—a harmonious blend of Flavors. The Stewed Plum Duck with Five Spices and Grapes was tender and succulent, while the Red Braised Pork Belly with Greenlip Abalone, Black Soya Sauce, and Plum was rich and indulgent. The Pan Seared Scallops with Braised Foie Gras Paste, Sugar Snap Peas, and Mushrooms were a culinary highlight. Each dish was meticulously prepared and absolutely mouthwatering.

While everything was delicious, my personal favourites were the eggplant and the pork. The combination of flavours and textures was simply unbeatable.

To cap off the evening, we were given fortune cookies. Mine cheekily said ‘Travel,’ which I took as a sign that it’s time to start planning my next adventure!

Overall, we had a fantastic time catching up with friends over such delectable food. I wholeheartedly recommend Tao Restaurant and Bar. Just a heads up—make sure to book in advance, especially on weekends, as it gets quite busy!

Anniversary Lunch at Love Fish, Barangaroo

Recently, for our anniversary, we decided to celebrate with a delightful lunch at Love Fish in Barangaroo. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, setting the perfect backdrop for our special day, and stepping into the restaurant, we were instantly captivated by the inviting ambiance.

We opted for their set menu, and our culinary journey began with a delightful array of starters. We indulged in freshly baked focaccia, followed by tuna crudo adorned with chili, lime, lemongrass, and betel leaf. The combination of flavours was exquisite, especially the unique twist with the betel leaf. Alongside, we enjoyed salt and pepper local calamari with chorizo powder and wasabi mayo, which added a delightful kick to the dish.

Moving on to the mains, we savoured a grilled barramundi fillet that was cooked to perfection, accompanied by a creamy Blue swimmer crab risotto. The risotto, in particular, stood out with its rich, comforting flavours—I couldn’t help but savour every bite.

By this point, we were already quite satisfied, but eager dug into the pear and almond frangipane tarte tatin served with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream. The sweetness of the tarte tatin paired wonderfully with the coolness of the ice cream, creating a heavenly combination that was the perfect conclusion to our meal.

What touched us deeply was the thoughtful gesture of adding sparkles to our dessert, a heartwarming nod to our anniversary celebration. It was these little touches of hospitality that truly enhanced our experience at Love Fish.

Overall, we were thoroughly impressed by the impeccable food quality, the inviting ambiance, and the attentive service at Love Fish. It was a experience that exceeded our expectations and made our anniversary truly special. We can’t wait to return and create more memories at this wonderful establishment.
