We recently visited Tia Tia in Brisbane for a much-needed lunch, and it was absolutely amazing! The restaurant was bustling with energy, and the atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy. The place was clearly popular, and it’s no surprise whyโeverything from the decor to the food felt spot on.
The menu was extensive, and we found ourselves wanting to order almost everything! It was a tough choice, but after some deliberation, we settled for a few standout dishes. We started with the Char Kway Teow noodles, which were packed with flavor, smoky goodness, and perfectly cooked noodles. The Char Siu BBQ pork was another favorite, with tender, caramelized pieces of pork that were simply irresistible.
The crispy fried chicken was another winnerโgolden, crunchy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. But the true highlight of the meal was the bao bun with pork belly. The pork belly was cooked to perfection, with crispy edges and melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. The bao was soft and pillowy, making it the ideal vessel for such delicious fillings. It was a bite of pure joy!
The kids were thrilled with the food, and we left the restaurant feeling full, satisfied, and happy. The flavours were authentic, the portions generous, and the overall experience top-notch. It’s safe to say, Tia Tia is definitely a spot Iโll return to, and I canโt wait to explore more of their menu next time!
From our family to yours, we wish you a very Merry Christmas! May your holiday season be filled with love, laughter, and precious memories to cherish forever.๐๐ ๐โค๏ธ
The magic of Christmas is in the air, and our neighbourhood is glowing with festive cheer! This year, the streets have come alive with twinkling lights, creative displays, and a heartwarming sense of community.
As we strolled through the neighbourhood, we were amazed by the effort and creativity everyone has put into their decorations. Houses are adorned with shimmering fairy lights, glowing reindeer, and Santa climbing chimneys. Some homes even have entire light shows synchronized to music, creating a magical experience for all who pass by.
One of my favourite displays features a life-sized nativity scene surrounded by sparkling lights, reminding us of the true spirit of Christmas. Another standout is a house with a candy-cane theme, complete with a giant inflatable snowman waving to everyone who stops to admire the view.
It’s heartwarming to see families, kids, and even pets walking around, soaking in the festive atmosphere. The lights not only brighten up the streets but also bring people together, spreading joy and laughter.
Our visit to Paradise Country was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasnโt just a farmโit was an Aussie adventure packed with excitement, entertainment, and plenty of opportunities for the kids to explore and learn.
The day began with the Shaun the Sheep Aussie Adventure, and the kids couldnโt contain their excitement. Seeing their favourite character come to life was a dream come true! They laughed and cheered as Shaun and his friends brought a playful twist to farm life. The interactive elements kept everyone engaged, and we even got some adorable photos to treasure forever.
Next up was the Stockman Show, a thrilling display of Aussie bush skills. Watching the stockmen handle the cattle with precision and showcasing their horsemanship was awe-inspiring. The kids were wide-eyed as they learned about the life of a stockman and how essential their role is in Australiaโs farming heritage.
The Stock Horse Show was another highlight. These incredible animals were the stars of the show, displaying their speed, agility, and intelligence. It was fascinating to see how closely the horses and their handlers worked together. The kids were in awe, and I could see their imaginations running wild with dreams of being horse riders someday!
Of course, no trip to Paradise Country would be complete without the iconic Billy Tea Show. This was such a nostalgic and quintessential Aussie experience. We sipped on warm billy tea and enjoyed freshly baked damper while listening to tales of the outback. The kids loved learning how to swing the billy can, and their laughter filled the air as they gave it a go themselves.
Throughout the day, the kidsโ excitement never wavered. Whether they were petting the animals, exploring the farm, or enjoying the shows, there was always something to keep them entertained. It was heartwarming to see them so engaged and eager to learn about Australiaโs unique culture and heritage.
Paradise Country is more than just a destinationโitโs an experience that brings families together and creates unforgettable memories. From the hands-on fun to the captivating performances, itโs a must-visit for anyone looking for a slice of authentic Aussie life. We left with full hearts, big smiles, and the promise to return soon.

Walking through South Bank is always a joy, but discovering the Nepali Peace Pagoda there feels like stumbling upon a piece of my heart. This incredible structure makes me so nostalgic, instantly transporting me back to Nepal and its sacred temples.
Every detail of the pagoda is a masterpiece, steeped in tradition and culture. The amazing door featuring intricately carved statues of gods, the stone stairs at the entrance, and the iconic akhee jhaal (a traditional Nepali window) reflect the extraordinary craftsmanship Nepal is renowned for. The stonework on the ground adds a touch of raw, timeless beauty, grounding the space in authenticity and history.
Inside the main temple structure, a simple yet beautiful wooden bench invites visitors to sit, reflect, and soak in the tranquillity. Itโs a space that feels sacred and personal, offering a moment of peace amidst the bustling city. The two smaller temple structures on either side of the pagoda complement the design perfectly, creating a sense of balance and harmony.
The surroundings only enhance the experience. The stupa, standing tall as a symbol of enlightenment, and the gentle water features at the bank provide a calming soundtrack to the serenity of the place. The lush greenery and elephant statues add a vibrant touch, making it feel like a sanctuary dedicated to peace and spirituality.
Standing there, taking in the intricate details and peaceful atmosphere, I couldnโt help but feel an emotional connection. The pagoda isnโt just a structure; itโs a heartfelt tribute to Nepalโs rich heritage and culture.
