A Delicious Dining Experience at Nahm Talay Thai Restaurant and Bar in Surfer’s Paradise

If you find yourself in Surfer’s Paradise and craving some authentic Thai flavors, Nahm Talay Thai Restaurant and Bar at Paradise Centre is an absolute must-visit! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the perfect tone for a memorable meal. The modern yet cozy atmosphere made it feel like the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some truly incredible food.

We started with the Red Duck Curry, and wow, it was absolutely divine! The rich, fragrant curry sauce had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, complementing the tender duck beautifully. It’s a dish I’ll be dreaming about for a long time. The Chicken Satay Skewers were another highlight—perfectly grilled with that signature smoky flavour, paired with a creamy peanut sauce that was so delicious, we couldn’t stop dipping.

Another standout was the Grilled Prawn Cos Lettuce Wrap. It was a fresh, vibrant dish with grilled prawns, fresh mint, and crunchy cos lettuce, making for a refreshing and exciting bite. Every element was so well balanced, and the mint really elevated the flavors.

For the kids, we couldn’t go past the Crispy Pork Belly and BBQ Chicken. Both dishes were a big hit, especially with their crispy, golden textures and tender meat. The kids devoured every bite, and it was a joy watching them enjoy the food so much.

Everything about our meal at Nahm Talay was just perfect. The flavors were bold and vibrant, and every dish was prepared with care and precision. Whether you’re a fan of Thai food or just looking for a delicious meal in Surfer’s Paradise, Nahm Talay will definitely deliver an unforgettable dining experience.

Highly recommend it if you’re in the area!

A Delightful Lunch Experience at Tia Tia Brisbane

We recently visited Tia Tia in Brisbane for a much-needed lunch, and it was absolutely amazing! The restaurant was bustling with energy, and the atmosphere was vibrant yet cozy. The place was clearly popular, and it’s no surprise why—everything from the decor to the food felt spot on.

The menu was extensive, and we found ourselves wanting to order almost everything! It was a tough choice, but after some deliberation, we settled for a few standout dishes. We started with the Char Kway Teow noodles, which were packed with flavor, smoky goodness, and perfectly cooked noodles. The Char Siu BBQ pork was another favorite, with tender, caramelized pieces of pork that were simply irresistible.

The crispy fried chicken was another winner—golden, crunchy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. But the true highlight of the meal was the bao bun with pork belly. The pork belly was cooked to perfection, with crispy edges and melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. The bao was soft and pillowy, making it the ideal vessel for such delicious fillings. It was a bite of pure joy!

The kids were thrilled with the food, and we left the restaurant feeling full, satisfied, and happy. The flavours were authentic, the portions generous, and the overall experience top-notch. It’s safe to say, Tia Tia is definitely a spot I’ll return to, and I can’t wait to explore more of their menu next time!

The place may be small, but it’s packed with charm and flavour. The menu was filled with delicious options, and everything we ordered was absolutely amazing. From the perfectly marinated meats to the rich, authentic flavours, every bite was a treat.

The Newmarket Room Restaurant review

For my birthday this year, my hubby surprised me with a lunch date at The Newmarket Room Restaurant. It turned out to be an unforgettable experience with amazing food, a quiet and cosy ambiance, and impeccable service.

We kicked off our lunch with some refreshing mocktails. I opted for a Strawberry Mojito that was perfectly sweet, tangy, and refreshing, while my hubby chose a Tropical Paradise blend (pineapple and passionfruit)—a fruity delight with just the right hint of citrus.

Entrees: A Perfect Start

  • Chargrilled Octopus: Tender, smoky, and seasoned to perfection. The slight char added a delightful depth to its flavour, and it paired wonderfully with a tangy dressing.
  • Lamb Cutlet: Juicy, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavour. The herb crust was crisp and aromatic, complementing the succulent meat beautifully.

Mains: A Culinary Feast

  • Chicken Roulade: Stuffed with herbs and cheese, the roulade was moist and full of flavour. It was served with a creamy sauce that tied all the elements together.
  • Barramundi Fish: Fresh, flaky, and cooked to perfection. The buttery lemon sauce elevated the natural flavours of the fish, making every bite heavenly.
  • Crispy Eggplant: As a vegetarian option, this dish was a standout. The eggplant was light and crispy on the outside, tender inside, and paired with a tangy tomato-based sauce that was simply divine.

Dessert: Birthday Bliss
For dessert, we indulged in a Dark Chocolate Mousse as my birthday cake. It was rich, velvety, and decadently chocolatey. The mousse was topped with a hint of sea salt and fresh berries, creating a beautiful balance of flavours that ended the meal on a high note.

Final Thoughts
The Newmarket Room Restaurant exceeded all my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, with flavours that showcased the chef’s creativity and attention to detail. The ambiance was intimate and relaxing, making it a perfect spot for a special occasion.

Thank you, hubby, for making my birthday so memorable! 💕 If you’re looking for a place with incredible food and a serene atmosphere, I’d highly recommend checking it out.

Camden Valley Inn’s Land of Oz

I’m excited to share our recent adventure at Camden Valley Inn’s Land of Oz. This spot is perfect for families, offering a delightful journey down the yellow brick road.

Our journey began with vibrant colours, blooming flowers, and oversized lollipops, creating a truly magical atmosphere. Following the yellow brick road under an arching yellow door, our first stop was the life-sized Tin Man, which was so much fun to see and perfect for photos. Next, we met the Cowardly Lion, who was taller than me. We continued down the road to meet the Scarecrow. As we walked further, we encountered a charming little girl dressed as Dorothy, complete with ruby slippers, which really brought the Wizard of Oz theme to life. Along the way, we were delighted by the intricate details and playful decorations that made us feel like we had stepped right into the beloved storybook.

After exploring, we settled in for breakfast. Be prepared to wait a bit; our breakfast took about 45 minutes to arrive. But the wait wasn’t bad at all—we spent the time exploring and snapping photos. The breakfast was worth it. We loved our meals and coffee, and the kids enjoyed their food too.

One of the highlights was the big outdoor area at the back. It features a large kids’ playground and even a petting area with chickens and goats. The kids had a blast running around and meeting the animals.

Overall, we had a fantastic day out at Camden Valley Inn’s Land of Oz. If you’re in the area, don’t miss the chance to walk down the yellow brick road. This attraction is available until July 31st and is open from 7 AM, seven days a week.

Thanks for watching, and happy adventures!
