Why Sea World Resort is Perfect for Families

If you’re planning a trip to the Gold Coast with kids, I can’t recommend Sea World Resort enough! We recently stayed there with our two kids (both under 10), and it was an absolute hit for the whole family.

What sets Sea World Resort apart is how family-focused it is. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and designed with families in mind. And let me tell you about the water park! They have this massive splash zone with slides and water play areas that kept the kids entertained for hours. For parents, there’s a large pool and even a hot tub—perfect for unwinding while still keeping an eye on the little ones.

We loved that the resort had everything we needed for a fun-filled day without even having to leave. It’s a lifesaver, especially when you’re traveling with young kids and want a relaxing day.

The buffet breakfast was another highlight. There was such a wide variety of options, from fresh fruit and pastries to pancakes and eggs made just the way you like. The kids were thrilled with the pancake station and cereal selection, while we enjoyed the hearty hot breakfast and coffee to fuel up for the day.

When we stayed, they were offering free passes to the theme parks, which was an incredible bonus. It made our trip so much more memorable because we got to visit Sea World, Movie World, Wet’n’Wild and even Paradise Country without worrying about extra costs. It’s these thoughtful touches that make the resort such a great choice for families.

Traveling with little ones can sometimes be challenging, but Sea World Resort made everything so seamless. Having the water park, pool, and restaurants all within walking distance meant less stress for us as parents. Plus, the kids were so tired from playing all day that they slept soundly each night (a win for everyone!).

The resort is also super close to the theme parks, so getting there was a breeze. And after a day of adventure, coming back to a place that felt like a mini-vacation in itself was the perfect way to recharge.

If you’re heading to the Gold Coast with kids, Sea World Resort should be at the top of your list. It offers the perfect mix of fun, relaxation, and convenience, making it a stress-free getaway for families. We’re already thinking about when we can go back!

Winter is here

For another year, winter is over in Games of Thrones (how great was this season especially episodes 9 and 10) but Australia is in the middle of winter and I am not the happiest person these days.

It is so cold every day and the rain and the wind make it worse. The sun rises late and sets early giving us less time in a day.

I am sure you all know my distaste for winter from the various posts in the past but I don’t like it even more now as I have a child. With the start of winter, Chhori caught a cold and she had fever for few days. We had to take her to the doctor when her fever didn’t go away for a few days.

After Panadol and lots of caring, her fever went away but she was left with a running nose for almost 3 weeks. Then I caught a cold as well so we were both sick at one stage. When I was feeling I was going to be OK, my flu came back making it impossible to sleep at night. In that 3 weeks, AS and I had to take time off from work to look after her. She was not eating well and it was really hard to see her suffer.

Not everywhere in Australia is it cold like this though. When we went to Gold Coast for holiday, I couldn’t believe that the weather was so good in May. We went to the beach every day and the water was warm and Chhori and my in laws had a great time playing with water and sand. We were even in an outdoor pool and it was fine.

I know this winter won’t last long as the weather will change eventually but waking up to a cold morning every day, I can’t help but hate winter.

I am just praying that this winter will pass without Chhori getting sick again.

Do you have a love or hate relationship with winter. I know lots of people who love winter but I am definitely not one of them.

Take care  and have a great weekend !
