I can’t believe that Chhori is over 14 months old and is a toddler now, not an infant anymore.
It feels like just a few months ago that I was pregnant but time has just gone so quickly. I guess this is how we get old and we don’t even realise it.
As I mentioned before, my in laws are here and we are taking them on an interstate holiday. That means Chhori will be flying on a plane for the first time tomorrow.
We went on our first holiday with Chhori to Dubbo but we drove. She was OK overall and we were relieved that she didn’t get sick. Tomorrow, she will experience flying for the first time. Luckily for us the flight is just over an hour but still I am excited and anxious at the same time.
I have done some research and will be equipped with entertainment and food for her but I am still a bit worried that it will be hard for her to sit in the same place for a long time. She loves to walk as she has recently discovered the freedom of walking so let’s see how she will cope. I hope we won’t annoy anyone with her moving too much and hope no tears at all.
We are going to the Gold Coast and I am looking forward to the holiday. It would be mine third visit, AS second and Chhori’s and my in laws first. The weather looks good and hope things works out as we have planned. We plan to visit Warner Bros. Movie World, Sea World and Wet n’ Wild. Also we will be doing some sightseeing and shopping.
Chhori is a bit sniffly at the moment and wakes up multiple times at night so I have to nurse her back to sleep. Hope the warm weather will make her feel better.
Will update about our holiday when we get back.
Please share some any tricks you use while flying with young children. Also share funny story you have flying with young ones.
Have a great weekend!

Although late, maybe will help in the future, Chhori may suck on a lollipop or have a piece of fruit. My grown kids and I like to chew gum so our ears don’t “pop.” Hope you had a wonderful holiday on the Gold Coast. ❤
That sounds like a great idea to have one around. WE are going away in August so will definitely have one in my bag. Thanks .
Hopefully you will have an enjoyable flight as its only 1 hour. Long haul flights with toddlers were very testing for us as many other passengers were not very tolerant unless they also had children. My only tip would be to make sure you have plenty of water for her to drink on the flight. The little ones get extra thirsty in that atmosphere and often scream for that reason. Wishing you lots of fun.
Thank you for your tips 🙂
Your chhori looks so cute and happy! I hope you will have a great holiday. Still having beach weather in Australia? Are you going to the beaches too?
Thank you dear. We are in the middle on the winter here in Sydney but when we were at Gold coast, we still manage to go to beach and enjoy warm weather 🙂
Take some books and an Ipad for her.Hanging over the back of the seat and looking at the people behind if she is in happy mood! If you get the right sort of people behind you they probably will talk to her and play with her a bit from their seat. Hopefully she won’t have any problems with her ears.
Good luck and enjoy the holiday.
Thank you so much Louise. Tablet is definitely a blessing these day 🙂
Have a great time 🙂 One tip for pain in ears that usually occurs with kids..keep feeding them at the time of landing and take off 🙂
Thank you NJ

Trip was great :), will post about it soon 🙂
I don’t have any tips for you on this matter, but enjoy your vacation! 🙂
Thank you dear 🙂
