Australian Space Discovery Centre! 🚀✨

🚀✨ A little space adventure in Adelaide!

One of the places we really enjoyed visiting during our Adelaide holiday was the Australian Space Discovery Centre. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect before we went, but it turned out to be such an interesting and memorable experience for all of us.

There was so much to discover about space, satellites, astronauts, rockets and the role Australia plays in the growing space industry. The kids loved walking around, looking at the displays and learning about things they usually only see in books or on TV. Of course, they had plenty of questions along the way! 😄

One of my favourite parts was getting to hear a talk from someone who actually works in the space industry. Hearing about their work, experiences and what happens behind the scenes made the visit feel much more personal. It was one thing to read about space exploration, but listening to someone who is actually involved in the industry made it feel real and brought everything to life.

I also loved seeing how much the kids enjoyed the experience. They were curious, engaged and excited to learn more, and I always love taking them to places where they can explore something completely different from their everyday world.

It was one of those outings where we walked in simply wanting to have a look around and walked out having learned so much more. 🌏🚀

Definitely one of the memorable stops from our Adelaide trip — a fun day of exploring, learning and dreaming a little bigger! ❤️

A Fun-Filled Family Day at Salamanca Market, Hobart

If you’re visiting Hobart, Salamanca Market is one experience you simply can’t miss. Held every Saturday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM at Salamanca Place, this lively open-air market is a true celebration of local Tasmanian culture, creativity, and community.

With over 300 unique stalls, the market offers everything from handmade crafts, artisan jewellery, homewares, and clothing to farm-fresh produce, gourmet foods, and local delicacies. The energy is fantastic, filled with music, colour, and the smell of delicious food wafting through the air.

We visited the market with the family and had such a lovely time. There were rows of vibrant stalls, and the kids loved weaving through them, choosing their own snacks, and picking out souvenirs to take home. We bought some beautiful souvenirs, ate fresh fruits, tried a few different street foods, and even treated ourselves to locally made sweets and baked goods.

It’s a great spot for families because there’s something for everyone—treats for the kids, handcrafted gifts, and fresh ingredients to take back home. Plus, the friendly stallholders made the experience even better by sharing stories behind their products.

The market is set against the beautiful backdrop of historic sandstone buildings and is just a short walk from the waterfront, making it perfect for a relaxed Saturday morning stroll.

We all left with happy hearts, full bellies, and bags of goodies. Salamanca Market truly captures the charm of Hobart—warm, welcoming, and full of character.

Highly recommend adding it to your itinerary if you’re ever in Tasmania!
