You look like a banana 🍌 mama

While celebrating the Nepali new Year, I was dressed in traditional yellow kurta.

As I came out of my room I had this conversation with Chhori

Chhori : β€œYou look like a banana 🍌 mama”

Me: (not trying to laugh) β€œI am so hurt”Β (making a sad face)

Chhori: β€œI am sorry mama. I look like broccoli πŸ₯¦ (looking at her green kurta)”

Me: (laughing) β€œI love broccoli πŸ₯¦

Chhori: β€œand I love banana 🍌 and I love you mama”

She definitely has become quite cheeky and witty. I love our conversations and I love her so much. I want her to remain like this forever.

Take care ,

Take your yogurt mama

I don’t how kids these are so smart and clever.

Chhori surprises us every day with her smart brain and the way she communicates with us.

We kind of have an order as to how we say good bye before I leave for work. First it is a hug πŸ€— then a kiss 😘 and finally a hi-five πŸ‘‹.Then the following dialogues occur.

Chhori: β€œHave a good day mama”

Me: β€œHave a good day baby.”

This happens every single day. But the other day chhori added, β€œ and don’t forget your yogurt Mama.”

I normally take yogurt for lunch and lucky for me that day, I actually had forgotten it. I don’t know how she knew but she has a good eye on what’s happening around her.

Love her to the moon and back.

Take care and happy Friday.

Lost baby monitor and remote

Last weekend we put Chhori to nap and tuned her baby monitor camera on. Then we went to the lounge room to turn on the monitor so we can check on her. She normally just wakes up, opens the door and comes out but sometimes when she has nightmares, she will wakes up crying.

So this monitor has been really good for us since she was a baby but on Saturday we couldn’t find it at all. We looked at every possible place it could be in with no luck. While searching, we realised that the TV remote was missing as well and we usually place the two together.

Eventually we gave up as we couldn’t think of any other place they could be in.

After her nap, Chhori woke up, opened the door to the room and came out of the room refreshed and happy.

So we had the following conversation.

Me: β€œChhori, did you put the monitor and the remote in the bin as we couldn’t find it.”

Chhori:Β  β€œNo, I no put in the bin.”

Me: β€œDo you know where it is?”

Chhori: β€œIn my room.”

We had checked in her room but we hadn’t found it.

At this stage, she took my hand and took me to her room. She went through her toys and it was in one of her toy box. Both remote and monitor sitting there in the box together.

I have no idea why she moved them from their usual place but now AS and I have to think of Chhori as a third person in our home and started including her in all the conversation. We can no longer discount her as a baby as she solved our problemΒ  πŸ™‚

Did you have similar experience with your child when they were little?

Take care everyone,

I feel blessed…

I am sure I am not alone in this boat. There are days/ week where you feel down and don’t want to do anything, meet anyone and feel as if your life is going nowhere. You just see everything around you and nothing is going according to your plan.

I am having one of those days and I feel like I need to jerking myself out of it and tell myself that I have many blessing to count and I should not waste time thinking about nonsense.

So that is what I am doing right now.

  • I am blessed with good health which so many people in this world wish for.

  • I am blessed to have loving parents who will do anything to make me happy and have been so supportive and caring throughout my life. I am where I am because of their sacrifice and love. I should never forget that even when I am down.

  • I am blessed to have a hubby who completes me in every way. He knows every small thing about me and tries his best to keep a smile on my face. I am so blessed to get a partner who is my love, friend and my life. Nothing can change our bond and I am so proud to say that.

  • I am blessed to have a daughter who is my world, my heartbeat and absolute cutie pie. When she hugs me, kisses me or says β€œI love you Mama”, the world becomes a happier place. She is a source of happiness in our lives. Sometime I become selfish and want to stop time as I don’t want her to grow up.

  • I am blessed to have a job which helps me to provide family with food, a roof on our head and life’s various needs.
  • I am blessed to be living in a country where I don’t have to worry about day to day stuff and don’t need to fight for our rights.
  • I am blessed to have friends and family who care about me and my happiness. Even if they may not be many, the care and love is real and it matters a lot.

Writing this is already making me feel better.

Please share your own list and hope that list can bring a smile on your face every time you are down or unhappy.

Have a great day everyone.

❀ Love of my life β€

I am sure most of you have read Our Story in this blog where I wrote about my love story with AS. I have always said that I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life.

Wedding Ceremony

The day that he entered my world changed me in such a positive way. Life is beautiful now. I see the importance in every action that I take. Each moment is cherished.

We have been through the good and the bad times in life together and I have to admit he has been a pillar of strength in my life.

He knows me so well and makes sure I am happy. He makes me smile and laugh and I love those moments.

This morning I woke up as normal. AS and Chhori were still be in bed and I started getting ready to go to work. When I went to the kitchen to make breakfast, this was on our kitchen bench top, it just melted my heart.

I think it is the small moments like this that make life truly amazing.
