Hello again : Namaste 🙏 🇳🇵 : G’day 🇦🇺

Hello again everyone, Namaste 🙏 , G’day 🇦🇺.

Can I start by saying I’ve really missed writing and sharing my life here with you all…

It’s been 1916 days since I last posted, but I’m thrilled to see that over the past five years, many of you have continued to visit my blog, reading, commenting, and liking my old posts. Thank you so much ♥️♥️♥️

In this age of TikTok and Instagram, I sometimes wonder how people perceive reading blogs. But I’ve got so many thoughts and experiences to share that I can’t keep them to myself.

So, here I am, continuing what I started so long ago. I plan to share stories of my life filled with chaos and happiness, my journey as a mum, and my life as a Nepali Australian.

I’ll also be updating you all on what’s happened in my life over the last five years. There has been so much change and growth, and I can’t wait to let you all in on it.

I hope some of you will continue to love and support my blog as you have in the past.

By any miracle if you’re reading this, please say hello to encourage me.

Cheers,

M from Nepaliaustralian

Double Father’s Day Celebration

As we celebrate both Nepali Father’s Day and Australian Father’s Day, we had a great time with both the celebrations.

For the Australian one, Chhori and I baked a cake and surprised AS with breakfast in bed.

Chhori helped me with cooking and baking and was over the moon with her cupcake.

With Nepali Father’s day, I prepared Sagun and Chhori followed the ritual with AS.

I am so proud to say that she is such a good girl that we don’t have to worry at all. All I have to do is instruct and she will do the process and enjoy the whole thing too.

Please click the link if you are interested in knowing more about the Nepali father’s day.

Hope all the fathers had a great time celebrating Father’s Day.

Happy Weekend everyone 🙂

Nepaliaustralian turns 7!!!

This year my life had been so busy that I missed blog anniversary on September 13. Better late than never so here I am celebrating 🙂

It has  been an incredible journey for something started as hobby. I never expected then to write my 7th anniversary post.

This blog started my way of documenting Nepali culture and tradition and my own way of celebrating being Nepali in Australia.

Today the blog has 1038 posts, 80 pages, 10,714 comments with 1,871,845 page views, 4447 followers and 987,195 readers from 230 countries visiting my blog :).

I am also grateful to you for your support over the last 7 years. I could not have gotten to where I am without you, so thank you for all your encouragement, comments, likes, shares, and more. It has meant so much to me. Thank you for reading my rants and giving so much love to me, AS and Chhori.

I have a virtual cake for all to hand around! Cheers!!!

P.S: To celebrate the occasion like every year, I will be opening the nominations for Nepaliaustralian’s Blog Award 2018 so watch out for my future post.

Take care everyone,

Things Chhori says : 5 teen :)

Chhori is really interested in reading and writing these days.

She even watches educational videos on Youtube Kids.

The other day we got a paper from childcare where she had written her own name.

She can also write from A to J (not to Z yet).

On top of that we discovered during the holiday that she can spell her name so we started teaching her other words like “Papa”, “Mama”, “Food”, “Cat” etc.

Anyway, she can say A to Z and A for Apple to Z for Zebra.

She can also count well till 20 and with a little help can do up to 50 but there are some numbers she makes mistake with but even that is so cute when she says them.

So she will go 1, 2, ………10, 11, 12,13, 14 and 5teen instead of 15. She also says 29, twenty10 instead of 30.

We are definitely correcting her every time we hear them but it is so good to see her willingness to learn.

We read to her every day before bed and try to get her to spell the words as well.

Do you recommend any apps or special videos to keep her inquisitive mind busy?

Take care ,

Things Chhori says: Bad guy shoot you??

One day AS came home with bandage on one of his arms after his blood donation that day from work.

When Chhori saw the bandage, she said “Papa what happened? (Pointing to the bandage) Bad guys shoot you? “

Both of us wanted to laugh but we tried not to and explained to her that daddy gave blood and it was because of the needle.

Things like this makes me wonder what goes on in her tiny brain.

Please share any weird and wonderful words that have come from your kids.

Take care ,
