My chhori is 11 now, and I honestly can’t believe how quickly time has flown. It feels like just yesterday she was small enough to fit in my arms, holding onto me like I was her whole world. Now she’s growing into her own little person, with her own thoughts, dreams, and personality shining through every day.
There was a time when she would wear my shoes just to play around the house, laughing as they were way too big for her. And now, it feels like she’s almost catching up in size, slowly stepping into her own journey of growing up.
Watching her grow is beautiful but also a little emotional. You want time to slow down, just for a moment, so you can hold onto these little years a bit longer. But at the same time, you feel so proud seeing her become confident, curious and full of life.
Somewhere between holding her in my arms and watching her walk ahead with independence, I realised she is no longer just my little girl… she is becoming her own person, and I get to witness it every step of the way.
