✨ Happy New Year 2026 ✨

I hope everyone has had a really nice Christmas break and a wonderful start to the New Year. For us, this holiday season was filled with warmth, laughter, and so many little moments that truly matter.

We had a really good Christmas with friends and family, just the way we love it. Decorating the Christmas tree with my kids was one of my favourite parts—messy, fun, and full of excitement. We hosted Christmas dinner at home, went out together to see beautiful Christmas lights, and the kids were absolutely over the moon with their gifts. Seeing their happiness made everything feel extra special.

I honestly love this time of year. School holidays, no work pressure, slower mornings, and more family time—it’s been so refreshing. We even managed to go camping, which was our first-ever camping trip! I’ll be sharing more about that soon because it definitely deserves its own post.

So far, 2026 has started really well for us, and my heart is full of gratitude. A new year always feels like a fresh page—new goals, new energy, and new chances to grow. 2026 already feels hopeful, calm, and full of possibility, and I’m choosing to walk into it with positivity and purpose.

Wishing each and every one of you a very happy 2026. May this year bring you good health, happiness, love, success, and many reasons to smile. Here’s to a positive, productive, and beautiful year ahead for all of us ✨🥂

😂📖 Little Reader Moments

Our chhora has been learning to read lately and loves reading everything he sees! The other day while grocery shopping, he spotted a pack of long-life milk and proudly shouted,
“Mum, look! It’s FREE! It says here!” 🥹🤣

Of course, it was lactose free, but “lactose” was a bit too tricky for him — so he just focused on the best part: FREE! 😂

Kids really do make the simplest things so joyful. My heart (and my shopping cart) was full that day. 💖

Black Friday & Cyber Monday Are Getting Bigger Here Every Year

I’ve got to say, Black Friday and Cyber Monday used to feel like something we mostly watched from a distance — a bit of an American thing that didn’t really land here. But every year it seems to get bigger in Australia, and this year honestly felt like the biggest yet.

I’ve been keeping an eye on a few of my regular brands, and it’s been interesting to see which deals are actually worth it and which ones are just marketing noise. I’ve spotted some genuine savings on clothes, Christmas gifts for the kids, a few cosmetic bits and pieces for myself, clothes for the whole family, and even a decent price on an upgraded vacuum cleaner I’ve been wanting for ages.

But here’s the thing: if you know what the prices used to be, you can tell straight away that not everything labelled a “deal” is actually a deal. Some stores slap a sale tag on the exact same price they’ve had for months. Others genuinely discount things you’d normally pay full price for. It’s really a mix of great finds and a few “nice try” moments.

Still, I kind of enjoy the hunt — checking old prices, comparing deals, and seeing which brands actually turn up with real value. And with Christmas coming up, it does feel good to tick off a few things early and save a bit along the way.

Curious if anyone else felt like the deals were hit-and-miss this year.

💪 Finding Balance Through Movement 🌿

Lately, I’ve been really encouraged to stay active by mixing in different types of exercise throughout my day. I’ve started doing a combination of HIIT workouts and walking — it’s been such a great way to boost my energy and clear my mind.

Whenever I can fit it in, I start my mornings with a 30-minute HIIT session, followed by a morning walk, sometimes on my own, sometimes with my husband, and occasionally with friends. It’s such a refreshing way to begin the day.

During the afternoons, especially when I’m at work, I try to step away from my desk and go for a short walk, often aiming for around five kilometres. It’s a simple habit that helps me reset and stay focused for the rest of the day.

In the evenings, I usually head to the park with my kids. It’s our time to move, play, and enjoy the fresh air together. I also try to include some light stretching, breathing exercises, and mindfulness to round out the day and keep improving my fitness and wellbeing.

It’s not about perfection — it’s about consistency, balance, and making movement a natural part of everyday life.

Halloween fun 🎃👻

It’s amazing how big Halloween has become here in Australia lately — and I’m absolutely loving it! This year was extra special because the kids had a Halloween disco at school, so they were dressed up from the morning. My daughter went as a cute little Minion, my son was a scary skeleton, and I joined in the fun with a red dress for my devil look 😈.

We’ve been having the best time walking around the neighbourhood, collecting chocolates, and soaking up all the spooky vibes.

It’s such a joy to see the kids’ excitement, the laughter, and all the creative costumes around. Honestly, I think I’m enjoying it as much as they are (maybe even more 😄).
