Birthday Celebration!!!

Well, you KNOW I love birthdays and today it happens to be mine :)! If you’ve followed me for a while you know my birthday is a time for celebration.

As life has been a bit busy these days due to so many reasons which I will post later so we didn’t plan a lot this year. We are going to dinner tonight with my brother’s family, AS’s uncle’s family and his cousins. It is planned to be a simple day.

But my day changed completely just now when I got a delivery of a lovely bouquet of roses as well as a Swarovski necklace with my name and a personalised card. Of course, it was from my darling husband and I was so please and surprised at the same time. Even after so many years of our marriage, he is still making me feel special and I feel so blessed to have him in my life. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Update time

I have been super busy lately because of Dashian and because AS’s Mama (Mum’s brother) and his family is in Sydney visiting from Nepal.

Dashain (18)Dashain (17)

AS usual, Dashain is already a crazy busy time for us but this time it was busier as we needed to go and visit his mama as well as invite them to our place.

Dashain (7)

Even thought it was busy we still had a great time and I am still tired from the celebration. We had Bhoj (feast) for 5 days straight , played cards and heaps of celebration. Here are some pics from this year Dashain.

Last weekend was also a long weekend here, so we were able to spend some time with Mama and his family.

One day we went to the temple and a picnic afterwards and another day we went to the city.

We are hoping they will have great time here and return with beautiful memories.

Dashain (15)

On another news, my in-laws will be here soon (in 10 days) so our Tihar is gonna be super busy as well. I am excited and scared at the same time. I have lived with my in-laws before but for only a short period but this time it will be three months.

I know me and AS have been so independent for so long that it will be nice to have them at home when we go home from work. However, at the same time, I am slightly scared thinking how they will feel in a new place with new people.

We have a long list of places to go and things to do while they are here. If you have any ideas about how to keep them entertained while we are at work that will be highly appreciated. We will be taking time off from work here and there but they will still have many days at home without us.

That is the reason, I am a bit scared as I want them to enjoy Sydney and have lots of good memories when they return. It is the first time for them here so I would love them to have a great time in very possible way so they will want to come back again in the future.

I have a million things going on in my head every time I think of their arrival but I am keeping an open mind and hoping for the best.

Hope everyone had good Dashain and weekend.

Take care everyone,

Prabal Gurung’s Spring/Summer 2015

My favourite designer, Prabal Gurung just showcased his latest collection. His latest collection is inspired by native Nepal and is playful with texture and silhouette, offering his signature feminine styles mixed with an unexpected dose of androgynous charm.

In his SS15, the designer wanted to continue what he began last season. ″I wanted to continue the journey,″ he said. ″This time it′s more a visual diary of her trek up the mountains.″ We′re back in the Himalayas, only now it′s spring. Instead of deep reds, he used a palette of sunset pastels.

According to Vouge, Prabal Gurung went for a more undressed approach with sassy slashes, slits and keyhole flashes of flesh. Sporty in silhouette with racer-back vest styles and little flirty skirts, his midnight tones and dusky grey-purple palette kept it regal and evening worthy – iridescence incarnating short shifts and T-shirt numbers – while zingy knits continued along this peek-a-boo vein, veering off around the body. And this was very much the theme and silhouette of the collection, drawing on frills and spills of hemlines as it went, the shorter dresses towards the end of which were the prettiest and most covetable.

The collection got lots of positive reviews from fashion editors and fashionistas.

I am in love with  the awesome prints of Himalayas and clouds. Of course, I loved it all but here are my favourites.

Apart from the clothes, I am lusting on those amazing killer heels.
